Week 4 - English and Program Design at Otago Polytechnic – Developing a program using the ‘Design for Learner Success D4LS’ process – including development, moderation, assessment, consistency.

Week 5 – English and Otago Polytechnic Online

- Choose and begin development of a course for face to face delivery – course to be chosen by the learner.
- Visit Mt Cook and examine New Zealand alpine plants

Week 6 - English and Introduction to ‘Moodle’ online learning.

- Continue course development project for face to face delivery
- Visit new hi tech Dairy farm and be involved with milking operation

Week 11 – English and deliver a course to a group – DELIVERY OF A COURSE
- Prepare and deliver the course to a group of New Zealand students – with mentor support. Deliver the course using all resources.
- Go live with the online component of the course

Week 12 - English and deliver a course to a group – DELIVERY OF A COURSE

Programme Notes
- English tuition – every day, continuing until level is appropriate. Within the English programme learners will complete their portfolio of evidence.
- Spanish speaking staff will be used to assist learners during the programme.
- Ideally some English prior to arrival will be preferred. IELTS level 4.0 prior to arrival is preferred.
- Weekly work placements during the cherry and export harvest.
