What programmes are unique to Central?

Central offers a number of programmes not offered anywhere else. Our National Certificate of Farming Skills is the only high country farming programme in New Zealand, and Stonemasonry and Sports Turf Management are the only full-time courses of their kind in the country. Our English PLUS courses offer a work component not offered anywhere else, while our Adding Sustainable Value programme is Business New Zealand’s preferred programme in sustainable strategies for business.

What programmes can I study by distance learning?

Get the Central experience without living here. Central offers qualifications in Business, Avalanche Studies, Horticulture, Viticulture and Sustainable Practice by distance.

Some distance programmes require you to attend block courses, either at our Central campus, or in other locations throughout New Zealand. Block courses usually cover practical or collaborative elements of a programme that cannot be achieved at a distance.
